Electronic Communications Act 2000
The UK Electronic Communications Act 2000, supplemented by the Electronic Identification and Trust Services Regulation (UK eIDAS), recognizes electronic signatures as legally valid. The Law Commission confirmed in 2019 that electronic signatures are valid for virtually all documents under English law.
