eIDAS Regulation (EU 910/2014)
The eIDAS Regulation establishes a common framework for electronic signatures across all EU member states. It defines three tiers: Simple Electronic Signatures (SES), Advanced Electronic Signatures (AES), and Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES). QES has the legal equivalent of a handwritten signature in all EU member states.
E-signatures are generally not accepted for the following in European Union:
